Integrated safety response (ISR)

ISR is a multi-agency intervention response to ensure immediate safety for victims and children experiencing the trauma of family violence. Kaaimahi works collaboratively with agencies and whaanau to ensure the immediate safety of victims and to work with rehabilitation perpetrators to prevent ongoing violence. Whaanau-centred We put families and whaanau at the centre and respond to the needs of victims, children and perpetrators. • Listen to the victim’s voice. • Create a Family Safety Plan based on risks and needs. • Acknowledge and respect diversity. • Ask questions, offer options and respect choices. • Provide joined up or sequenced visits. INFORMATION BASED Improving the collective understanding of family violence relies on timely and accurate information sharing that respects the privacy and dignity of all. • Share relevant information with each other. • Use a shared case management system. • Connect with others so we work as one team collaboratively.
